Where did summer go????

Well, the summer is almost over already...our mini-vacation for the summer is finished, the kids are registered and go back to school in a week, and I have less than six months until I graduate with my bachelor's degree.

Not much stitching has been going on over the summer.  Nothing motivates me too much lately.  I'm tired of my bachelor's degree classes and just want to get it done.  I haven't stitched too much other than for exchanges, even though I have plenty to stitch on.  Too much school work or too many excuses I guess.  I think it's more of the latter though..LOL!!!  I have been really trying to stitch more though.  Right now I've been stitching on the HOE Prairie Schooler ornament exchange.  At first, I was having a hard time picking something out for it, but now I really am enjoying the stitching.
This is my piece that I stitched for the HOE Friendship Exchange.  I know the recipient received it because of the tracking number, but she hasn't posted that she received it yet.  It was my first attempt at a bag, and I think it turned out pretty cute.  Definitely a possibility for some other finishes though.

These next pictures were just fun from our summer mini-vacation.  We went to Branson Missouri for the first time.  The strip in Branson is totally crazy, but we did make a couple of stops.  We went to the Titanic Museum (which was awesome), but unfortunately, no photography was allowed.  They even made us turn off our phones. Then we went to the Hollywood Wax Museum.  That was a lot of fun!  The kids (and grownups, even) really enjoyed it.  Then of course, no visit to Branson is complete without a visit to Silver Dollar City.  It was loads of fun.  The cave tour was really amazing!

Well, sorry for the picture intensive post.  As you can see, we've been fairly busy this summer.  Now onto the first day of school and the usual type of busy!
See you soon!
