Santa and a cup of tea...

Hi -

I hope everyone has been doing fairly well over the last week or so.  Things in my little part of the world has gotten a little busy...with my school restarting, the kids and homework, and work.  But I've been off for the last several days, and I've enjoyed it so much.  Today I've kept myself busy...I have chili in the crockpot, an angel food cake in the oven, bread baking in the bread machine, and laundry going.  Plus I finished my Christmas Tea piece this morning.  I think it turned out well.  I used some silk threads from Crescent Colours and the red and white is from Vikki Clayton.  I was just trying to use items that I already had.  Sorry that I cut a little bit of the side off.

Then the other day, I finished off the first of Santa's Village.  I love the way this turned out.  I'll put the button on top of the tree when I'm done with all of them.  Unfortunately with my counting issues that I was having at the beginning of the year, I tore almost everything out except for the tree.  Well when I was finishing up, I realized that the tree was one space higher than Santa, so I gave it a little more snow because I just didn't want to tear out anymore.
I saw this morning on the Shepherd's Bush blog that they are coming out with some new kits including a new snowman called Gray Snowman.  Can't wait!!!!!
Well, I guess this is it for now.  I hope everyone has a great week.

Two gorgeous finishes!! I really need to put Christmas Tea on my stitching list for this year :) Good idea to pile up the snow on your counting mistake--no one would ever guess :)

Counting is also a problem with me - counting twice is definitely not enough for me! I need to recount a few times and still....hahaha! I usually end up adapting the design to my mistakes!:D

Great finishes, I love the berries along the bottom of Santa's Village. And no one would have ever know you added extra snow.
