OK...New Year, new beginnings...

I always get so stressed with thinking that I have to write in my blog multiple times a week.  Instead, I'm going to try to make this a new start...I'll start by blogging about 1 time a week.  The only thing that I can do is my best!  So here we go.
We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day. - Edith Lovejoy Pierce
I saw this quote today and thought it was perfect.

Of course here's my favorite picture of the year.  This was taken a couple of days before.  It was stinking cold, but it is one of my favorite family pictures.

I decided that I have many pages in the last several years books unfinished, especially with my stitching.  So this year, I'm not going to allow myself to start anything large or BAP until I finish one.  So last night at the end of 2012, I finished a small project, but then I'm going to try to finish another small project for the 1st day of 2013.  I'm working on SB's FaLaLa.  I figured what better way to end one year and start the next, and also to start my new plan for stitching.  I don't even want to post how many BAP's I have because it's sooo embarrassing.  So every week, you'll see some type of progress on a BAP.  Plus I'm going to continue my SALs with the LHN Sheep Virtues, LK Snow Friends, and CCN's Santa's Village.
Here's my progress picture of my CCN's Santa's Village.  I can't tell you how many times I've done frogging on this piece though. Apparently I can't count.
And this is my progress on my Snow Friends piece.  I did change the colors a little because my yellow on the birdhouse didn't show up.  I changed it to the dk red instead. The next picture is of an exchange that was sent to me by Sarah Beth on the Hooked on Exchanging board. She thoroughly spoiled me.
These last pictures were of some Christmas presents that I made for my family this year.  I used my handy dandy Silhouette to make these on some painted canvas.
Well, here's to the beginning of our new book, and let's make it the year's best!!!  Thanks for sticking with me and checking it out.
In Stitches,

Melissa

You stitching is looking lovely. Don't worry, I've neglected my blog last year too. Sometimes life can get away from us. :-)
