This week has been pretty good stitching wise, and other than work not too much has been going on. The kids have gone back to school, and my new school term started this week too. My classes seem to be pretty interesting though. One class is a basic computer course that is a requirement, but it does teach the finer points of PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word. Then the other class is a Modern Culture class that ties art, music, movies, etc...in iwth what is going on from the mid 1800's till now.
The Joy ornament is from the LK Ornament chart this year. It was my last finish of 2012. I liked the way it turned out, but I didn't have the called for thread for the "O" so it looks a little wonky. I did go buy the right thread, so I'll stitch this one again.
Fa-La-La is a SB kit that I bought myself as a Christmas present. It's supposed to be stitched over 2, but I stitched it over one so it could be an ornament. I really liked this one. I have to substitute the buttons with some different buttons I had to make it work. This one goes hand in hand with my New Year's Resolution of finishing up things that have been sitting around. This is Jeanette Douglas' Vintage Stars. When I picked this one up, I have only done about 3 of the little stars that make up the large big star. So I'm plugging away on this one.
Then this one is the LHN Heart of America. Before I picked this one back up, I had only the Liberty, Freedom, and Year block done. So definitely making some progress on this too.
I started taking the 4 trees down in the house this week. 2 down, 2 to go. I'm trying to work on one a day. It makes me kind of sad about taking them down. I love the looks of my trees and all of the pretty lights.
Well, I hope everyone has a great week!

Lovely finishes. Great progress on your wips.
I love the little finishes. They will make great ornaments. And good for you for working on WIPs. It looks like you've made some good progress.
Lovely finishes and wip's are coming along great!
Great finish and progress on your projects! I need to do the same, finish some stuff this year!
Lovely stitching! What a great New Years resolution - maybe one I should adopt. It's scary the number of unfinished pieces I have. :)
Absolutely beautiful stitching!!!
Congrats on the ornament finishes. Love both of your WIP's :) I hate taking down my tree too but I love have more room back again too!
I do love seeing WIPs because it makes me want to hurry through my own to stitch others. haha
Well done.
