Teaching and Exchanges...

I have spent some time both on Saturday and again today teaching my daughters' how to cross stitch. Can I tell you how much fun that was? My almost 9 year old really picked it up well. My 6 year old is doing well too. I bought her a stamped cross stitch kit. They both really enjoy it. Hopefully, they'll want to continue it, and I'll have a new generation of stitchers. Heaven help my husband and their father. LOL

These next pictures are from the SBEBB Frosty Friend exchange that I received from Lucy at http://folk-n-fancy.blogspot.com/ I just love the piece that I received. It's a Samsarah Freebie I think. She also sent me all of these great extras. I loved everything she sent. Thanks so much, Lucy!

I also wanted to show you how I finished the snowman piece from the Frosty Friend exchange that I made from my partner.

Thanks for visiting! Take care!

Oh how wonderful that you are teaching your daughters to stitch! I can't wait until my granddaughter is old enough to put a needle in her hand. :) I love your exchanges and I really enjoy your blog. You have some wonderful stitching!

I'm sorry that I didn't put in where the pattern came from...I'm still sorta new at this. It's the monthly teapot patterns from 2008 from Just Another Button Company. Being they are a wholesale company, I think, you can purchase the other months at Shakespeare Peddler http://www.shakespearespeddler.com/specials.html
If you buy the buttons you get the pattern free. This year there are matching teacups....yep, I'm doing those too. Glad you enjoyed the package.

Melissa, congrats on teaching your daughters how to stitch!! I taught my girls but neither of them stuck with it. I'm hoping they will pick it up on their own when they're older. They didn't get much further than fighting over who got the cutest chart. LOL :P

Beautiful stitching! Love the exchanges and how you finished your snowman piece.
